Assessment of conformity of dentistry curriculum and job requirements from the perspective of dentists working in Birjand

Abstract

Introduction: The curriculum and content of the training course are key elements of the training system that play a vital and decisive role in the success or failure of training goals. After starting to work in the community, dentists are more familiar with the treatment and prevention needs of the community and can better comment on the common dental education system in the country, so the purpose of this study Assessment of conformity of dentistry curriculum and job requirements from the perspective of dentists working in Birjand .Materials and Methods: In this descriptive-cross-sectional study, 100 graduates working in Birjand were selected by census method and participated in the study. The data collection tool was a researcher-made questionnaire that validity and reliability. It was approved. The adequacy of the courses offered and the adaptation of the courses to the job needs of the graduates were determined on a 5-choice scale (very high, high, high, low and very low). Finally, the data were analyzed with SPSS 21 software and one-sample t-test .Results: The results showed that the two courses of anatomical sciences 1, 2, 3 and oral and community health had the highest and biochemistry and medical physics had the lowest application among the basic science courses. In other courses, the level of adaptation of the educational curriculum to the job needs of dentists is optimal. The level of skill of general dentists at the beginning of the work on the necessary measures for the initial treatment of open sinuses, performing medical emergencies, making removable orthodontic plates and crown lengthening surgery is very low.Discussion: In general, the adaptation of theoretical and practical courses in basic sciences to the professional needs of dentists has been very low. In other courses, the level of adaptation of the educational curriculum to the professional needs of dentists is optimal

هدف: برنامه و محتوای دوره آموزشی عناصر کلیدی سیستم آموزشی هستند که نقش حیاتی و تعیین کننده ای در موفقیت یا شکست اهداف آموزشی ایفا می نمایند. دﻧﺪاﻧﭙﺰﺷﻜﺎن ﭘﺲ از ﺷﺮوع ﺑﻪ ﻛﺎر در ﺳﻄﺢ ﺟﺎﻣﻌﻪ آﺷﻨﺎﻳﻲ ﺑﻴﺸﺘﺮی ﺑﺎ ﻧﻴﺎزﻫﺎی درﻣﺎﻧﻲ و ﭘﻴﺸﮕﻴﺮی ﺟﺎﻣﻌﻪ ﭘﻴﺪا ﻛﺮده و ﺑﻬﺘﺮ ﻣﻲ ﺗﻮاﻧﻨﺪ درﺑﺎره ﺳﻴﺴﺘﻢ آﻣﻮزﺷﻲ دﻧﺪاﻧﭙﺰﺷﻜﻲ راﻳﺞ در ﺳﻄﺢ ﻛﺸﻮر اﻇﻬﺎر ﻧﻈﺮ نمایند لذا هدف از مطالعه حاضر بررسی میزان انطباق محتوا برنامه درسی رشته دندانپزشکی با نیازهای شغلی از دیدگاه دندانپزشکان شاغل در شهر بیرجند می باشد. روش کار: در این ﻣﻄﺎﻟﻌﻪ که از نوع ﺗﻮﺻﻴﻔﻲ ﻣﻘﻄﻌﻲ می باشد، 74 نفر از دﻧﺪاﻧﭙﺰﺷﻜﺎن دانش آموخته دﻧﺪاﻧﭙﺰﺷﻜﻲ ﻛﺸﻮر که در شهر بیرجند مشغول به کار بودند ﺑﻪ روش سرشماری اﻧﺘﺨﺎب و در ﻣﻄﺎﻟﻌﻪ ﺷﺮﻛﺖ نمودند.ابزار ﮔﺮدآوری اﻃﻼﻋﺎت پرسشنامه محقق ساخته ای بود که روایی و پایایی آن تایید شده بود. میزان کفایت دروس ارائه شده و انطباق واحدهای درسی با نیازهای شغلی فارغ التحصیلان با مقیاس 5 گزینه ای (بسیار زیاد،زیاد، زیاد،کم وبسیارکم) تعیین گردید. در نهایت داده ﻫﺎ ﺑﺎ اﺳﺘﻔﺎده از نرم افزار spss 21 وآزمون t تک نمونه ای آنالیز گردید.یافته ها: ﻧﺘﺎﻳﺞ ﺑﺮرﺳﻲ ﻧﺸﺎن داد ﻛﻪ دو درس علوم تشریحی 1،2،3و سلامت دهان و جامعه ﺑﻴﺸﺘﺮﻳﻦ و ﺑﻴﻮﺷﻴﻤﻲ وفیزیک پزشکی ﻛﻤﺘﺮﻳﻦ ﻣﻴﺰان ﻛﺎرﺑﺮد را در ﻣﻴﺎن دروس ﻋﻠﻮم ﭘﺎﻳﻪ ﺑﻪ ﺧﻮد اﺧﺘﺼﺎص داده ﺑﻮدﻧﺪ . در سایر واحد های درسی، میزان تطابق کوریکولوم آموزشی با نیاز های شغلی دندانپزشکان در حد مطلوب می باشد. میزان مهارت دندانپزشکان عمومی در ابتدای شروع به کار در مورد اقدامات ﻻزم جهت درمان اولیه سینوس باز شده، انجام فوریت های پزشکی، ساخت پلاک متحرک ارتودنسی و جراحی افزایش طول تاج بسیار کم است .نتیجه گیری: به طور کلی تطابق دروس نظری و عملی علوم پایه با نیاز های شغلی دندانپزشکان بسیار کم و کم بوده است، در سایر واحد های درسی، میزان تطابق کوریکولوم آموزشی با نیاز های شغلی دندانپزشکان در حد مطلوب می باشد
